Hi Natalie,
Everyone is doing well! Maya spends most of the day sleeping on our balcony. We have a small walking route around the neighborhood that's plenty of exercise for her in this heat. There are too many strays wandering around to take her beyond, but we may be able to bring her for day trips to the beach once our car arrives (which could be another few months still). She has been completely normal since the minute she arrived. She has never been much of a thinker (We like to say she "thinks just the right amount"), which probably helped during the transition!
We chose Animal Land based on a friend's recommendation to complete a complex, multi-stop move for our dog Maya from Virginia to Sierra Leone. We felt like we had an expert and ally throughout the process, even when unpredictable delays forced us to rearrange plans.
Throughout, our move coordinator Natalie never made us feel like added work for her was a burden or stressor. She was an empathetic, reassuring voice and always responsive to inquiries. Our overseas move had many components, but we felt most responsible for getting our dog there safely.
Natalie's in-travel updates offered peace of mind, and the seamless coordination minimized stress on Maya, who arrived tail wagging.
