Where do I begin?

My family's experience with Animal Land Pet Movers was wonderful from beginning to end, and I'm so happy that I found them. They were the only pet relocation service to call me after I submitted a request online. Sunni called me the next day, explained the itinerary, answered all of my questions and put me in-touch with Melissa to move our Boston Terrier from New Jersey to Korea.

We have moved between the US and Korea several times, but this was the first time we moved with a dog and when our airline said we couldn't fly with her because she is a snub-nosed breed and slightly over the in-cabin weight limit, we were thrown for a loop. We had a tight timeline but Melissa made it happen for us seamlessly.

Within two weeks, Remi was on her way. Melissa responded to all of my emails quickly, tracked Remi's flights and even saved us money for Remi's customs processing in Korea. The agent in Korea, Gina, sent us photo compilations from the moment Remi arrived in Incheon until she was safely delivered to a family member's home to await our arrival.

Although I was anxious about the entire process, Melissa and her team made me feel so much better about all of it. I highly recommend Animal Land Pet Movers and can't thank them enough.

Dear Dana,

I am incredibly grateful for all the help you provided during such a stressful, but exciting time in our life. You made our move from the US to Germany so much easier, especially during a pandemic. You were always willing to answer my many questions and help calm my nerves.

In the end, you were right and everything went smoothly. For every possible hiccup, you had a solution. I was extremely worried to move my 9 year old boxer mix to our new home, especially with her fear of strangers, but she is thriving and enjoying her new life. Moving abroad is an extremely daunting experience for us humans, so you can imagine that sending one’s pet abroad is exponentially more intense. Even though our puppy, Freya, has been a seasoned traveler in the US, having made a journey to the Upper Peninsula when she was only 8 weeks old, and 4 round trips from Connecticut to Georgia before she was 9 months old, this journey would be considerably longer and more stressful for her.

My wife and I searched online for a company with the background, experience and reputation that would make her journey from Atlanta to Frankfurt (Germany) as smooth and tranquil as possible.

We decided on Animal Land Pet Movers, and we are glad we did. We were assigned a Personal Move Counselor, Melissa Crespo. Melissa has been our Rock of Gibraltar, always available, extremely helpful, thoroughly professional, and most importantly she cares.

Basically, she loves what she does. We were provided with guidance throughout the process so nothing would stand in the way of Freya getting on board the plane, or prevent her from entering Germany. Melissa coordinated with our stateside vet making sure all the official paperwork was completed, signed and stamped; and she helped us purchase the correct size kennel for Freya’s dimensions, the correct number of water trays, and provided the necessary information so I would be able to release Freya from German customs and get her home to her new place of residence without frustration.

We are now enjoying our new life with our very special canine companion. Thank you Melissa, and thank you Animal Land Pet Movers!

Hello Dana,

I realize I have been remiss in updating you on our move. We successfully retrieved Wintel and Tosh at O'Hare and had an easy trip home with our pets that evening. Since then the pets are settled in and have had a checkup at the vets and are in perfect health. We just received our household goods from Japan last week and unpacking has been an adventure. But I can tell the pets are comfortably settled in and are happy to be back into their daily routine, no worse for the travel.

Thanks for all you did over the past 4 years. PetMovers, and specifically you, will get high endorsements from me to all of my friends looking at global travel once the pandemic is behind us. I know two different colleagues will be reaching out to you as they look at settling in Japan. I anticipate others will be asking, and you will get the highest endorsement from me. Although our return from Japan was fairly routine, our move to Japan was anything BUT routine. I never would have been able to make it without you.

My only regret was that I didn't reach out to you several years ago when I had a similar move to Germany and had left my pets with my extended family at that time since I didn't know to whom I could reach out for assistance.

I will make sure none of my friends and acquaintances ever have to wonder, "How do I go through the red-tape of getting my pets to relocate with me?"

In March 2019, my wife’s employment required a move to Germany. We had been overseas several times, but this move had a new twist: Heidi, our 6 year old German Shepherd Dog was coming along. Changing circumstances required my wife leave earlier than originally planned, and I faced the challenge of closing our affairs in the states and moving the remainder of our stuff to our new home in the Rheinland-Pfalz region of Germany.

This included Heidi. I hadn’t a clue how to begin planning her move, understanding the American and German documentary requirements and how I was going to physically move an 85 lb GSD from our Seattle area home to the airport, across the ocean and to our new home in Germany. My additional concern was the stress this was going to cause Heidi. I am disabled, and Heidi as a companion dog to me had not travelled by air, nor really been separated from us for more than a few days.

I began my search on the internet and saw your website. After going through it, and reading the comments left by other families, I had a gut feeling I had found the right folks to get Heidi safely from Washington to Germany. So I contacted you, and began to work with Melissa Crespo.

From the start, the plan and requirements were clear. She knew what forms and endorsements were required and when they needed to be completed. Then we built an itinerary that literally saw Heidi picked up at our front door, transported to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, checked in and loaded on her flight. Heidi was then met at Frankfurt International, cleared German Customs, and delivered to my wife at our new home several hours later.

She arrived in great shape and has acclimated to her new home. In fact, she is sleeping on my feet as I type this…

I am very happy with the level of support we received from Melissa and the other members of your team. Your professionalism moved my dog quickly and efficiently, but more important, your compassion gave me the piece of mind that Heidi was being looked after by folks who cared and took one huge task off my “to do” list prior to departure.

Melissa and Pet Movers were great to work with moving our cats to Europe!  We didn't know the process and friends recommended we find a pet moving company.  We are so glad we did. They handled all the paperwork and walked us through step by step.  The final 10 days before our move the process began. We met with our vet for their health certificate.  She said this company really knows what they were doing.

The day of their flight we were in contact with Melissa and she told us about their progress from the US to Prague, Czech Republic.  Through Pet Movers we arranged to have Andy and Tina delivered to our apartment. They arrived safely and weren't complaining too badly!

My two dogs are English mastiffs so are rather large and they have anxiety. I want to thank Dana Fanning who made it so easy for us to get two large St. Bernards, two German shepherds and a cat from the US to Switzerland.

Before the move, Dana was very helpful to make sure that all necessary items we had to take care of were explained. Our vet even commented about the fact that she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to him in regard paperwork and what to do. She emailed and called to explain what to do every step of the way. Without Dana I do not think we would have managed to get the animals here.

During the move we received emails to let us know where the animals were at that moment. They arrived in Zuerich, where the swiss counterpart from Petmovers picked them up at custom and all animals were then brought by car to our home. The animals were very clean and were not stressed. They behaved and looked as if they had been on a trip for an hour and not days.

I will recommend your company to anyone who wants to move a pet. It was stressful for us as we did not know what to expect, but you and your company are champions to us!

My dream was for me and my 14 year old, 18lb tuxedo cat Purrfect, to move from Colorado USA to Spain to live. The entire journey involved many stressful steps - the pet transport process being a major cause of worry before I left - because Purrfect means the world to me. I contacted several pet transport companies for quotes, found many to be unresponsive, inconsistent and even blasé about the process. That was until I contacted Animal Land Pet Movers. Beth and her team immediately made me feel that they cared about Purrfect and his welfare almost as much as I do. Every question was responded to promptly in a professional but friendly and supportive manner. Firstly I was guided through the entire preparation process to obtain a pet passport - which is complex and challenging in itself.

Once that was done the pick up procedure was meticulously planned and orchestrated with Beth and my Daughter as I had already taken my flight at that time. Throughout the entire process I was kept informed of Purr’s status and even provided with photos. Purrfect’s journey was longer than expected because he was unable to take his scheduled flight in the hold because at last minute they found that there was no heating in that area of the airplane. Beth arranged for him to stay at Lufthansa facilities until an alternate flight could be scheduled. This delay meant that he would arrive in Spain over a weekend. I was notified that Airport Customs don’t work at weekends in Barcelona so Beth arranged for Purr to stay at the world renowned Frankfurt Pet Hotel, until he could be flown to Barcelona to arrive on a weekday to clear Customs.

Finally, Purrfect was driven many miles from Barcelona to Javea in the middle of the night by a very caring member of the Animal Land Pet Movers team to be delivered to my doorstep at 1.30am in the morning. Both the driver and Beth had kept in touch the entire time, together we had overcome additional obstacles due to bad weather and the address of my spanish rental property being incorrect and hard to find.

Purrfect was safely handed over in his pet carrier looking tired and a bit shell shocked but well looked after. His journey had taken 5 days in total instead of 2 but I felt that Beth and her team had overcome several external challenges which arose which were out of their control. They confidently orchestrated the entire operation keeping me informed and putting my mind at ease throughout.

It took Purrfect a week to acclimatize to his new surroundings and recuperate from his travels. He is a very sensitive cat who has always hated traveling, so much so that for several years I have used a mobile Vet to avoid even a short car trip. As you can see from the photos he is really enjoying Spain and the relaxed way of life!

I am so grateful to Animal Land Pet Movers. I recommend using their services 100%. My daughter will be flying her 2 cats to Europe later this year and already plans on arranging the trip with Beth and her team. A huge thank you to everyone involved in transporting Purrfect, especially Beth. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your excellent services and people.

Okay! It's official, we have one large goofball and one small goofball safe at home once again! Nova is currently curled up on my feet and Kitkat is back in the bedroom with Megan cause it's 1am here.

They got here right around midnight and were excited to be out of their kennels ha. Nova also seems to be soft and fluffy and I SWEAR someone bathed her. Maybe her coat just came in softer than I remember but she seems cleaner than I expected after her travel ordeal. I'll make sure to get pictures with them for you in the morning but I wanted to make sure I got you some kind of message as soon as I could because I wouldn't have them back with us if it weren't for you.

I had been nervous for quite-some-time about moving my beagle Amy from the United States overseas. I shopped around for pet moving companies, and decided to work with Animal Land.

While there is a lot of leg-work to do yourself even working with an agent, Beth was incredibly helpful at guiding us to make sure that we had all of the right information at every step—from picking the right kennel to making sure we had all the forms filled out correctly for customs. And she was super-quick to answer last-minute emails as we pulled everything together.

Her agent picked Amy up from our airport hotel in Atlanta, and her other agent met us at the terminal in Helsinki to get Amy from the cargo terminal. They were kind and gentle and very helpful!

This letter shows my gratitude and the excellent performance of Jennifer Lewis Russell.

It was 2017 June 03 when I had sustained injuries while enlisted in the United States Marine Corps; due to my injuries I couldn’t function properly without the assistance of a service animal. My memory would reset every few minutes from traumatic brain injury and made even the simplest of tasks virtually impossible for me to accomplish. I tried many different companies and airlines requesting their assistance with getting my service animal from Camp Pendleton, California to Bonneau Beach, South Carolina.

The companies I requested help from did not seem to care about the health and security of my pet while also charging me the maximum fee regardless of available military discount. The airlines would not provide me with proper details of what crate to obtain, yet alone proper paperwork or other preparations for my flight arrangements. It was at that moment that I began to panic that I found Animal Land Pet Movers through not only the recommendation of family members but also friends.

I called this amazing company expecting the same results that I had received from others but to my surprise they excel at everything they do and beyond that. I was assisted by an outstanding lady; Jennifer Lewis Russell, who I could tell has much love for the work she does and cares about each and every family and pet she helps with relocating. My time with Jennifer was only supposed to last a week at most since my dog, Terabetha was scheduled for her trip home. I explained my condition to Jennifer and she gladly helped me get everything from the correct crate; which I almost purchased the incorrect one; the proper paperwork and health certificates which no other company or airline cared to mention.

I was at a lost at what to do but within a day or two my dog was ready to fly home! Jennifer even went as far as to ensure that I received my military discount and other services I was eligible for; she even went as far as to accept my phone calls at midnight due to the time difference between California and Georgia where the company is located to ensure I received the help I would constantly need. She worked off the clock doing the job she loves and helping this Marine get the services he needs. The day of my dog’s flight was then cancelled by the airlines because a hurricane named Florence had formed and was heading straight for South Carolina. The hurricane would rise to a category five and I thought I would never get my dog home, but Jennifer was persistent in her task and would call the airlines every hour or two each day for an entire month while also performing all of her duties at Animal Land Pet Movers and yet again even during her time off.

She would call just to ensure that I was doing okay and hold a conversation with me and show concern and interest in the health and happiness of my companion. This was something I wasn’t use to due to other companies only concerned with the profit they would be making and thanks to her generosity I avoided many panic attacks and possible break downs from the stressful situation which wasn’t stressful anymore because she was on top of things and getting everything done with excellent performance and customer service. I would not even have to check the news or call the airlines to find out the status of hurricane Florence and if the airlines would open anytime soon. The hour not even the day that the airlines reopened for pets to be safely transported to their new and loving homes Jennifer called me and gave me the option for my comfort to either fly Terabetha home that day or even tomorrow if I wished.

She told me that if neither of those dates would work for me she would do everything in her power to find a flight that worked with my busy military schedule. I took the earliest flight and even though it was midnight yet again for Jennifer she called and texted me through the entire event making sure I would be exactly where I needed to be despite constantly forgetting every few minutes due to my injuries. Jennifer has been an outstanding amount of good fortune and blessing for me during these hard times and thanks to her assistance I can rest easy knowing my dog is with my family and friends.

I now have the time needed to recover and continue serving our country thanks to the enormous amount of effort given by Jennifer and her amazing company Animal Land Pet Movers.

A very very big thank you to Dana & her team in helping us to transport Squirrel from Gainesville, Florida to Kolkata, India!!! She was absolutely amazing & we are so glad that Squirrel has reached Kolkata safe and sound. He is doing very well at the moment. He is trying to adjust to his new home and seems to be very happy and curious 🙂

To begin with, Squirrel is not just a cat for us, he is like our baby who has been with us for more than 4 years now. My wife, Avani and I were initially worried regarding him, when we considered returning to India from US.

However, soon enough, we came across Dana from Animal Land Pet movers and from the very first moment we spoke to her, we felt we were in good hands. Dana was absolutely wonderful in explaining us the steps and paperwork involved in the whole process!

There were a ton of document work, vet visits, vaccination details involved which is honestly impossible to figure out and do on your own. In short, without Dana's help, the transportation would not have been feasible. The constant updates from her, while Squirrel was traveling was extremely reassuring for cat parents like us. We commend on the professionalism, promptness and always being available for any questions at any time!

As a final note, we really appreciate the goal of Petmovers, to act upon and help reduce the anxiety bridge between the parent and their pets by providing a medium which makes the overall transportation process smoothly doable. We had the most amazing experience with the relocation of our Boston Terrier Murphy. Due to current airline restrictions, Boston Terriers are no longer able to travel as cargo on airplanes. We were so glad to find out that there was a ground transportation option for Murphy.

Dana with Pet Movers was amazing at communicating the whole process to us and making us feel comfortable with the process. Once Murphy was picked up, we were beyond impressed with the care he received. And the communication we received from his driver.

We had many texts & pictures throughout the day to let us know how Murph was doing, and where they were located. It was such a relief to know that our dog was safe and cared for during his travels.

We were so happy when Murphy arrived with us and lucky to have this company assist with his travels to us.

Hi Dana,

I want to thank you for looking after our little Zoey and making her move as smoothly as possible. I was really worried with the long trip and the bureaucratic process to move her from Portland, OR to Hong Kong, but your hard work made it look simple for us. Thanks for the constant updates during her trip.
